Every one of you, Anthony, Arden and Orea, were great in very individual ways! Thank you to all of you for your enthusiasm and gentle nature with our girls :) Anthony, for enduring a boat full of girls, sharing your vast knowledge about the experience, enduring lots of questions, and for supporting and encouraging both Emma and Audrey in their first ik experience. Arden for your enthusiasm for the kids, your obvious love of what you do, and tending to Audrey in her time of need....and Orea, for your gentle willingness to have Audrey help you in the kitchen....you made her days!!! Thank you all for your time and patience, and enthusiasm. We've told many people about our trip, and hopefully some of them will come your way....I know they wont be disappointed! I would love some of your recipes....the food was so awesome...the thai food night....would love that, all of it! the bananas foster.....yum! And the carnitas night....am i missing anything? - 5 "Excellent! ***** We signed up for a 3 night / 4 days guided trip down the Rogue River with 3 other families. Everything top to bottom was wonderful, the river, the guides, the campsites, the food. We would highly recommend Momentum - they kept us safe, showed a tremendous spirit of adventure and knowledge of their craft. Truly memorable, very relaxing and worth every penny :)" - Nicholas Weigel
- 5 "We went on this trip July 12-15, 2020, after having done my first trip with Momentum in August 2019, on the Idaho Salmon. This trip was was everything I expected from Momentum. The guides (Shana and Alyssa on the rafts and Glen on the gear raft) were amazing: competent, fun, worked hard every day to ensure a fantastic trip for us. The food was fantastic for normal circumstances, let alone considering it was made by the guides. The river itself is beautiful, good mix of rapids and calm. There was really only one set of rapids that we had to hike around while the guides took the rafts through, then another set of rapids where everyone had to be on the rafts and not in any kayaks. Otherwise, we were in the kayaks most of the time. Got dumped in rapids a few times (from the kayaks, not from the rafts), but I've learned to expect that on these trips and nothing felt scary. Overall, just a rad trip from start to finish!. I plan on doing more trips with Momentum, for certain. While this trip was was rad, I have to put a plug in for the Idaho Salmon trip, if you haven't done it. I think it's even better. Yes, it's more expensive. But it's two days longer (the Rogue felt like it was over too soon!) and the price includes a small plane hop from Boise airport, over the Sawtooth Mountains, to Salmon, Idaho...which, while technically not part of the "river" trip, is still WAY fun and a cool experience. I told my girlfriend that if she wants to go on the Salmon one day, I would readily go again. Totally worth it. But, no matter what river, where, and when you're interested, you absolutely can't go wrong with Momentum." - Erik
- 5 "9 Girls celebrating turning 60! What an amazing adventure Momentum River Expeditions prepared for us! Our guides, Orea, Trica, Glen and Mark were exceptional and kept us safe and “Hydrated “the entire time on the river! The food they prepared for breakfast, lunch and dinner was amazing! Orea and Trica’s skill and knowledge of the river, made the category 4 rapids a piece of cake for us beginners! I highly recommend this company and look forward to our next adventure with them! Thanks again, Carlita" - Carla Sharpe
- 5 "Absolutely wonderful trip, could not have asked for a better way to get off the grid and relax during this pandemic! Momentum did an amazing job not just with organizing and keeping things clean, but the leadership was stellar! Shana was an amazing trip leader, exuding confidence, patience, and cheerfulness every step of the way. The rest of the crew was incredible and I wish the trip had not ended so soon. I guess that would be my only complaint--it was too short! Next summer I think I’m going to head back to the Main Salmon for the second time with Momentum, and also try to do the Upper Klamath with them as well! And thanks to the crew for letting some of us do some alternate activities on this trip, such as trail running and hiking! Was phenomenal!" - Kristin Linzmeyer
- 5 "We did the 3-day Rogue River Lodge to Lodge trip. This is river rafting at its best (great water and glamping). We've done several trips with Momentum and all of their trips have consistently been first class. We had a couple of friends who were somewhat reluctant (had never been rafting) who went with us. They had a blast and are now considering doing the Lower Owyhee with us next spring (we've already booked our trip)." - Tony Dasher
- 5 "We did a private 4 day, 3 night rafting trip with Momentum on the Wild and Scenic Rogue with 3 families- kids ranging from 11-13. It was THE BEST in every way! The guides were knowledgeable, fun, attentive, hard working and amazing chefs. The equipment and organization was all perfect. The kids had an incredible time kayaking, swimming, jumping off rocks and hanging out in camp. The food was beyond expectation- every meal was creative, healthy and delicious. I highly recommend this trip for families looking for some fun and adventure!" - Sunny Maxwell
- 5 "Brandie and I had so much fun doing this raft trip. We sang and talked in movie quotes for three days and our guide Mike just chimed right in...we loved him. All three guides..Alyssa, Mike, and Mac-daddy (Michael) made this trip one we will never forget. Thanks so much guys! So ask for them when you are planning...." - Susan Sanders
- 5 "My partner and I were used to doing DIY adventure trips so it was such a treat to be looked after by Momentum - with knowledgeable guides, delicious fresh food and lots of time on the river, we are definitely converts to this kind of trip! The trip was the perfect mixture of wild river, wildlife, wilderness and really comfortable beds in warm cabins at night - brilliant accommodation with nice hot showers! We got plenty of river time and our guide Sol made sure we enjoyed the best rapids and got involved in the inflatable kayak and SUP! The food was excellent, and we loved the nice touch of providing local wines and cheeses. We felt a real connection with the guides, they were so welcoming and interested in our lives, and couldn't do enough to ensure we had an epic time. Can't recommend this trip enough!" - Katie and Jon
- 5 "Three or so years ago, I made this same journey with a dozen other folks in heartbreakingly beautiful sunny weather — a wonderful trip. THIS time, I dragged my husband along, and together with just two other fellas and our superb guide Anna, we froze our butts off during a couple days of unseasonable rain. Yet, when I think back, all I can recall was the extraordinary natural beauty of the river, the camaraderie of our fellow paddlers, my admiration for our river guide, the comfort of our accommodations, and how grateful I was that second afternoon when we pulled into Paradise Lodge and got our “Rum and Tea” in the bar. Thank you, Momentum — can’t wait till next time!" - Susan Gee Rumsey
- 5 "It was early August 2018. Fires were raging throughout Southern Oregon and California, and while we worried for the firefighters and towns, we also selfishly worried our family vacation would be canceled. Jae at Momentum assured us that would not be the case sending a picture of the Rogue showing proof of life so we got on the plane and headed out. Arriving in Grants Pass (unfortunately, The Galice Resort had to be closed), we pulled into the hotel lot noticing most of the other vehicles were fire control trucks while ash fell onto our shoulders. What had we gotten ourselves into? The next day the sky was a bit clearer as we made our way to an improvised meeting point. We pulled into the lot almost hitting a man in a broad-rimmed hat who stepped out of a building into the driveway. He smiled and waved seeming not to mind. That was certainly a different response than we would have received back home. We soon learned this would be our rafting guide Vikram. It was only later that we learned he would also serve as our nature guide, history teacher, and spiritual shaman (telling us something to the effect of the river is its own religion). After prepping us for the trip and transferring our belongings into dry bags, a second guide, Rob, drove us to the meeting spot where we met the third amigo -- Jeff. These three men would be our team leaders for the next three days, guiding us into the pristine waters of the Rogue and away from the fire, civilization, and the worries of a busy life. We were a family of five with two teens and a 9 year old. There was a mother and her teen son on the trip, a nice couple from the midwest, and two men with their father, bringing him back to a river where he had spent countless days of his adult life while working. We were a motley group, but Vikram, Jeff, and Rob brought us together through rafting, kayaking, food, and drink. Those three days were spent away from technology, away from the busyness of life, and in the presence of nature -- smiles replacing stress lines as nature and solitude replaced concrete and crowds. The actual rafting was, for the most part, easy and relaxing with enough good rapids mixed in to keep things exciting. Vikram was a man from a storybook weaving tales of his times rafting through the US, Africa, India, and Norway. Explaining how to read a river, what makes a rapid, and pointing out the wildlife along the way. Jeff guided his raft (which I was not in) with a smile on his face. Like a sea captain, he often had our youngest son perched on the front of the raft serving as the rafts figurehead leading the way. Both men knew the river well, gave precise instructions, and found places for swimming -- and at the request of the aforementioned nine year old, rock jumping. For lunches, we would pull to shore where Rob (who was gear-guiding) would have tables set for lunch and a spread of food to satisfy all. At times wild berries grew in nearby bushes to supplement the meals. In the evenings we stayed in lodges. The first night, Rob, Vikram, and Jeff prepared an amazing meal which we ate together followed by hours on the porch sharing tales over drinks. Anything you may hear about one father being so tired he went to bed soon after dinner should be ignored as completely unsubstantiated. The second night was spent at the Paradise Lodge, a sort of Four Seasons tucked away in the hills. Again after a dinner to satisfy all, we spent hours on the porch sharing stories and looking at stars -- more stars than many of us had ever seen. It was a celestial masterpiece. As with the first night, our guides ensured it was a celebration of a great day. The third day was shorter and the river wider and flatter -- a reminder that there are times in life where you simply have to keep rowing to push through. The river was teaching us a final lesson before letting us depart. We've sat as a family revisiting this trip and the guides. What else can we say? The guides were professional, great cooks, great with kids and adults, and great teachers. The three men worked well together. Jeff and Rob, in particular, made a great team while Vikram was larger than life on his own. Who knows if life will lead us back to the Rogue, but after this trip, it will lead us on more adventures in search of white waters. TLDR: Momentum does a great job. We really like Vikram, Jeff, and Rob, We'd do it again." - Darren Moore

- 5 "We are frequent flyers with Momentum. We have followed Pete and his expert crew from the rural Illinois river to the Futaleufu in Chile. This years trip was another amazing experience, The 3 day lodge trip on the Rogue provided abundant wildlife and comfortable beds. If you are looking for a raft company in Oregon or Northern Calif. look no further....go with Momentum."
- 5 "Robyn, We had a great trip. It was good family time. I must say I have never had such luxurious camping before in my life. You guys did a great job and the food was fabulous. Thanks so much for everything!" - Brenda
- 5 "I am holding Momentum Rafting completely responsible for turning my entire family in to a bunch of....White Water Junkies!!!! There are very few times when all of us, with 3 teenagers, are all on the same page and 100% happy and present in an activity. This was one of those times. When our guide Robyn told our 3 kids to sit in the front of the raft and to simply enjoy a fun rapid that was coming up, and then proceeded to plow the raft in to a giant standing wave that completely drenched everyone on board, was one of the great highlights of our trip. The squeals and screams were priceless. All of the guides and the fabulous support crew worked extra hard to christen a new camp site and to make sure that everyone was well taken care of. The food was wonderful and the stories were entertaining. We are already scouting for our next river to conquer!! Thanks Pete!!"
- 5 "Thank you for the wonderful experience we had rafting and camping on the Rogue in late July. We had never been on an organized rafting trip, and so weren't sure what to expect. We loved the small size of the group; the scenery was magnificent (especially all the little creeks and waterfalls along the way); and it was especially fun to be able to go through some of the rapids in the inflatable kayaks. Our guides Mara and Anthony were simply spectacular. They worked constantly to make everyone feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. We learned a tremendous amount about water safety, rafting techniques, reading the river, and natural history from them, and the food they put together was truly outstanding. We have never eaten so well on a camping trip before. We appreciated the special effort they put in to accommodate vegetarians and other special dietary needs. We are already starting to think about our next rafting trip with Momentum--and hopefully with Mara and Anthony! Thanks again for a great vacation! -Tom and Kevin "
