Every year around this time I sit down and go through all the photos, ‘thank you’s’, and testimonials from the season. As I sort through the emails and the photos it never fails to give me goose bumps, it never fails to make me happy (and a little sad), and it never fails to remind me of the power and beauty of our wild places and, even more importantly, of the unique and remarkable people we are lucky enough to spend time with on the river every season. For every time you all have learned something from us on the river we have learned something from you – from you lives, experiences, and opinions.
Once again, I truly want to thank you all!

If you’ve never been on a rafting trip, go to MOMENTUM. If you have gone with another company and you thought you had a good time, try MOMENTUM. For those of you who have rafted with them, you already know. Alan, Celine and Tyler made everything so EASY, SAFE, and CONVENIENT. My 9 year old son had a blast. No IPADS, no TV, no Phones. It really resets your body and mind. I’m already planning my next trip. Thank you MOMENTUM!!
There are a ton of companies offering river trips in Oregon, and it can be easy to become overwhelmed by promises, prices and hype. Look no further, we’ve done the research, we’ve gone on two Momentum trips in the past few years and this is hands’ down the best. I am not paid by Momentum! I’m just a middle-aged LA working mom who loves to travel and eat! My vacations need to be good, and this one was right at the top of the list.
Pete, Thank you and your group putting on an awesome display of customer service. I have chosen your organization for about 6 years now, and each year gets better. No doubt, I will return for this great adventure in the future. My group of people were extremely impressed and are also very interested at 2 day trip. Orea, We really had a very special time, made all the more special by your expertise and patience. You were fab and made the trip just brilliant for each and every one of us. Please do keep in touch and let us know if you plan a trip to Ireland at any stage as we would love to repay your hospitality. Please pass on our thanks again to Tyler and Courtney. We thought we spotted Tyler in Gold Beach and chased this man in a van but to our great disappointment, it wasn’t him. The man must have been terrified at 4 mad irish flagging him down in a car park!!
Thank YOU, Pete! It was a fabulous trip, and Orea and Jane were amazing excellent guides (and chefs and photographers). This was a first for the little kids, though they are all experienced campers, and it was a huge success. Lake Michigan and Lake Huron will never be quite the same for them, and I’m sure they’ll be eager to go again. My husband and I will be, too. I’d rather have a retirement of active adventures than sitting in a rocking chair!

Our trip wildly exceeded my expectations (even though this was my first ever rafting trip!), and each of you was responsible for helping make it one of the most enjoyable adventures I’ve ever been on! This is a top-notch rafting company. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Amazing attention to detail, fun but safe, guides are AMAZING. And the food rocks too.
We met our 2 adult children in Oregon for a family reunion and spent 4 days rafting the Rogue River with Momentum River Expeditions. What an incredible trip! Our guides were unbelievable—knowledgeable, professional, skilled and so fun to be around. We consider ourselves a little bit “foodies” and were so impressed with the food! They took into account food preferences and every day we were amazed at the choices and how delicious it all was – we felt very spoiled.
This got to be one of the best rafting trips in the world for non-professionals like my group. It is absolutely amazing how the crew of Momentum River Expeditions enabled me and my two friends to enjoy the challenging Class IV rapids with ease and comfort. Yes, we all got drenched, and we all fell into the water (during our solo kayaking portion). But at no time did we feel threatened or our safety at risk. This included one of my friends who does not even know how to swim. For two days we rafted, kayaked, hiked and mountain biked. At night, I fell asleep gazing the sierra stars. Momentum ferried our gears, guided our tours and prepared our meals. The low-keyed but ultra-experienced crew treated us like friends. We swapped stories over dinner, and shared drinks over dessert of strawberry chocolate Fondue. What a trip! Thank you, Momentum, for an exhilarating experience that will forever be etched in our memories.
Just so you know, it was an extraordinary trip. Perfect, really, from my and my sons’ point of views. I can’t say enough about Jane, Tyler and Anthony. Professional, competent, funny. I’ll be sure to send the survey, and I put a few things in the mail for Jane to distribute. Really great company you’ve built. This trip was amazing, superb. (Hi Beth!)
Thanks again to you, Wonder Woman and The Lorax….we couldn’t have hoped for better guides. You’re collective experience, easy-going manner and focus on fun (not to mention great culinary skills) really made the trip a memorable one.
Many sincere thanks to you from all of us. We had such an amazing time. I so greatly appreciate the care and integrity with which you, Simon and Taylor shepherded us down the river. We always felt safe and inspired. As a parent it was especially rewarding to see the confidence build in Harper and Angus. Pete, My husband and I just came back from the Upper Klamath rafting trip that we won in this year’s Willow Wind auction. Wow! What a fabulous trip! We were so impressed with the guides, the food, the camp, the food, the organization and attention to detail, the food, the river itself – oh, and the food! (There was even chocolate birthday cake with strawberries, delectable!). It was all amazing and we both feel so lucky that we got to go. Thanks for making it possible!

Pete, Just a note regarding the wonderful time we had on the Rogue this week (Wednesday thru yesterday, Saturday 7/11)…of the course the river is the star, BUT the Momentum crew: Simon, Jane, and Anthony, are amazing human beings…competent, strong, patient, diplomatic, interesting…you put good teams together, for sure. They make the trip that much better. Thanks again & we look forward to another remarkable adventure with you guys.
