Stanley Idaho is a Gateway to the Sawtooth Mountains and the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness and the beginning of the Salmon River. It is a throwback town of about 100 year round residents with dirt roads, small family run businesses, and a location that is absolutely spectacular. In the summer there is a ton of great hiking, climbing, mountain biking, and fishing as well as half and full day rafting options.
Getting there:
Stanley is about a 3 hour drive from Boise Idaho, 3 and a half hours from McCall, and a little over 2 hours from Salmon. We can also arrange short flights to Stanley from McCall and Boise. For custom Main Salmon Rafting trips we can even arrange flights from the river to Stanley.
Places To Stay:
The Sawtooth Hotel: A small family run lodge located in ‘down town’ Stanley.
The Stanley High Country Inn: Another lodge featuring cabins as well as rooms.

The River Company – Rafting from Stanley and Sun Valley Idaho: The River Company offers day and half day trips on the Salmon River from Stanley and Sun Valley Idaho. They are family owned by Dave and Heather Denning and they do an amazing job!
