Testimonials

“What just might be the best commercial rafting company in North America. The trips are spectacular beyond description, the guides are the best of the best, the food is incomparable, and the customers are treated like royalty.”

To all our past and present guests – Thank You!  At the end of every year we sift through the emails and the photos from all of you and it never fails to give us goose bumps, it never fails to make us happy (and a little sad), and it never fails to remind us of the power and beauty of our wild places and, even more importantly, of the unique and remarkable people we are lucky enough to spend time with on the river every season.

So, with your continued support, wonderful personalities, and adventurous spirits we will continue to keep and attract the best guides anywhere. We will continue to reshape the way river travel is run and to work towards setting the standard in trip quality and environmental responsibility. And we will continue to run rivers and add adventures that are the best in their class and that are off the beaten path.

To all past and present guests a huge –

“THANK YOU!”

"Hi Erik, Thank you so much for such a wonderful trip! We were so impressed with all of the guides and we liked that everyone was very efficient and professional, while each having a fun and unique personality. Every part of the trip was so unique and we totally fell in love with the area. I haven't had that much fun in a long time! Phillip and I are hoping to make it up there to do one of the one day trips as well. I also have to thank you and the whole company for being so careful with our gluten allergy. After the first meal, seeing how careful you all were, I was able to relax and enjoy mealtime--which is usually something I can only do in my own home. That made the entire trip even better. Overall, I could not have been more happy with how everything went and we will definitely be adding rafting to our list of favorite activities! Thank you! -Tiffany"

  • Rogue River 1/2 Day

"Hi, Alan-- Thx so much for our short but eventful trip on the 1/2 day Rogue. Our family is hooked and we appreciate the quality of service that we received. The food was great and I can now say to people that we had a gourmet picnic on the Rogue River with watermelon, cinnamon and an excellent garlic torta, crackers and lovely scenery. Thanks for your personable nature. My daughter now knows about the rafting school and is all psyched to try it out. We will come back again! We are already talking about the whole day Upper Klamath trip for next year! Thx for a great trip. We will use your services again. "

"My father and I took the 4 day wilderness camp trip down the Rogue River. It was absolutely incredible, and I would definitely recommend taking this trip with Momentum. Our guides (Mara and Jeff) were so fun and personal, and I felt safe and well taken care of at all times. Having only 6 people on our trip was really nice. The food was awesome! I was a little concerned they would have trouble meeting my dietary needs (vegan and gluten free), but the guides made delicious food food for me and catered to the dietary needs of others on the trip, too. This was my Dad and my first trip in Oregon, and our guides made the river trip an unforgettable one. Oregon is beautiful and I can't wait to visit again! "
  • Rogue River Rafting

"How much better can it get when you combine 3 of the things I love - food, wine and river rafting! Truly a culinary adventure, and flawless execution by Momentum River Expeditions, Troon Winery and Farm to Fork Events. It was a fabulous time each day on the Rogue River, with some fun Class III and sometimes Class IV rapids, then we would arrive at the camp that was the envy of all other passer-bys on the river, settle in, and then enjoy amazing gourmet meals all sourced locally in Oregon, and prepared by David Padberg and Matt Domingo, with wine pairings from Troon Winery, poured by the owner himself Chris Martin! Our guides from Momentum made sure we were always comfortable and having the best experience - wilderness at its best - Thank you to Pete, Robyn, Orea, Rebecca, and Simon! I cannot wait until Farm to Fork River Adventure #3 next year!!"
  • Rogue River 1/2 Day

"Thanks to our personable guide, Anthony, we had a marvelous trip down the Rogue River. Anthony shared local history, knew lots about dams, wildlife and gold sluicing. Oh, and the rapids were exhilarating. Someone in the office even made a little cake for our daughter's birthday. Love you guys!"
  • Rogue River 1/2 Day

"WHAT A SUPER AWESOMW TIME WE HAD ! The gear, the preinstructions, pick up and delivery of ourselves, food and beverages...yikes what more could we ask for ! The guide was skilled knowledgeable and concerned for everyones fun and safety. Yeah Alan !!"
  • Rogue River 1/2 Day

"In a 4-star rating system, Momentum gets 5++++++! Our guide, Simon, was wonderful, gave us clear instructions (so important for beginners), and provided us with a memorable and exciting experience. Thank you, Momentum, for introducing us to the Rogue and rafting!"
  • Rogue River 1/2 Day

"We are a family with 5 sons, ages 23-9, and we went on the 3 day lodge to lodge trip. The older boys, all very athletic, have never been so happy with a family trip-kayaking, rafting, swimming, and eating! The younger boys were challenged but safe using the kayaks and rafts. They got to see bears, eagles, turtles, etc. Mom and dad now feel 20 years younger. The guides, Erik, Robin, and Simon, were professional, experienced, and fun. We felt very safe in such capable hands. Excellent trip! Only two drawbacks...you might gain weight with all the good food, and you can't stay forever. "
  • Rogue River 1/2 Day

"This trip exceeded our expectations, which were high, given what we've been told about river trips. Our guides were superb: totally professional, trained, friendly, competent. The food was fresh and tasty, cabins and lodge were comfortable, and the river rafting and kayaking were a thrill of a lifetime. We were in good hands with Momentum and hope to do the trip again. Worth every penny."
  • Rogue River 1/2 Day

"My teenage girls and I had a wonderful time on the 1/2 day raft trip! Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and personable. This was the first time my daughter's have ever done anything like this and they LOVED it! My youngest thinks she wants to be a rafting guide for a living now... We will definitely be back next summer! Thank you "
  • California Salmon Rafting Safari

"Just returned from my trip on the Cal-Salmon/Scott Rivers. I live in Cincinnati and this is my second year with Momentum in Oregon/California. Need I say more? Momentum delivers everything it promises - awesome, safe rafting; excellent guides; excellent food; and incredibly friendly people. Thanks especially to our guide, Anthony. You were awesome. "
  • California Salmon Rafting Safari

"Pete, what a great trip, you are a class act, the wine and cheese was fabulous and the food has been the best I've ever experienced on a river trip. The Salmon River was the second most beautiful river I've rafted, next to the Grand Canyon. Also it was very challenging. Will be pretty disappointing to go down the Kern after this trip. Will have to do the Scott next time we are up there. Many thanks again, cannot wait to go up there again! "
  • California Salmon Rafting Safari

"Hi Pete, I just wanted to touch bases with you and thank you for the incredible Cal Salmon/Scott trip this last weekend. The Salmon at 3000 cfs was a very different river from 3 years ago at a much lower flow, and the Scott at 1000 cfs was very technical and fun as hell! Erik did a great job on the oars as always, and Schuler rapid in particular was long, complex, and very challenging. The food was extraordinary, the camping deluxe, and all the other guests fun to be with. And I even got all my final exams all graded (I finished this at the Weed Motel 6 Monday evening)!! Next up for me is Moss Canyon/Rossasco Ravine on the north Yuba in 2 weeks, then a bunch of stuff in Colorado culminating with Gore Canyon (with AVA) in early August. With regard to the Middle Owyhee next year: Easter in 2011 is April 24, so I will have April 16 (Sa) - April 24 (Su) as my spring break. So hopefully you will run a trip on the MO during that time. If you do, I can guarantee you I will go on it barring unforseen circumstances (it would be best if it would not start right ON the 16th or end right ON the 24th, so I could have at least a day to travel each way). Also, I would like to go on the Chilko-Chilcotin-Fraser trip sometime in the future if you could schedule it to end prior to Aug. 12, but that trip is probably more likely to work for me 2 years from now rather than next year. Thanks again, and I hope for your continued success, and success with all of your future plans for Momentum. I think that it is terriffic that you are always pushing the envelope, trying new things. I hope you don't work too hard though. Take care, Paul Kryder "
